Has anyone made a bracket to mount on a windowsill that would extend out a couple feet to mount a vhf base antenna such as a Diamond CP-22E on? I live in a 2nd story apartment and would like to get an antenna outside. The building is a century plus old hotel that sits on one of the highest points in my county, and I have gotten decent results with an "Ed Fong" antenna but if I can come up with a way to mount the Diamond out off the windowsill I would think work better even if it doesn't clear the roof.

An antenna that is nine feet tall mounted on a windowsill, are you serious? On an old building no less! Not to mention the risk of lightning!

Lol they really don't catch much wind, I have seen it done on windows in cities, but too far up to see exactly how it was mounted. Landlord offered to mount it on the roof on a vent pipe but I would rather have it where I can take it down myself if need be to work on.... besides up on the peak it would be a lightning rod.
