Question about Windsor Fire, can't seem to hear anything down in Kingsville here. My setup is
BCD996T and an outside discone up about 25'; use freescan and have them programed, LTR and haven't heard a peep?

It is an LTR Passport system , so it is unmonitorable with a scanner.

Windsor fire is p25 and CAN be monitored, although Kingsville is quite a distance away, you might get it with an outside antenna.

County fire is on LTR passport that CAN be monitored just not tracked with your 996.

I entered them conventionally in my 996 and 396xt and have no problem hearing either, the 96 series scanners do a pretty good job of blocking out the squelch bursts usually heard on the LTR system, and due to the fact that the scanner won't trunk track the system you will hear other users as well.

Can someone send me a FreeScan file for Windsor fire? I'm headed down there next week and would love to listen in and not spend my entire trip trying to configure the system. I have a BCD396T. Thanks!

Windsor fire Is on the p25 system it can be monitored ,..believe it or not I have heard them go enc from time to time ....something about door codes lol , but mostly in the clear
