Just for general interest, I managed to get a straight answer on the status of Winfield's FD and Rescue Squad. Both are still functioning, but are on silent dispatch using a text/app based system with notifications sent by Union County RCC (2400). It's something similar to IamResponding. That in combination with their low call volume is the reason little to nothing has been heard from them over the last 12-18 months. Their frequencies as listed in the database are still valid and correct when radios are used at all. Which I'm told is almost never anymore.
Their PD, all four cops, are still dispatched by Union County RCC (2400) on NJICS/PSIC TG4279 (County Police Patrol Dispatch).
