Being new to Digital Scanning and having purchased the GRE PSR500 Handheld I see that I can download the program for a trial period of thiry days.Now what I understand is that you just input the frequencies that you want such as O.P.P, regional police,security ,etc. and the program sets everything up, I am assuming.I sure would like any feedback to my questions.Thanks in advance!

Not sure what you mean by 'set it up'. The software is simply a tool to help YOU set the radio up. It does make the task significantly easier however. If you have a RR subscription you can have the software download the systems/frequencies you want and you can sort out how you want them in the radio from there (organizing your scan lists etc etc).

Also, IIRC, you need to be a Premium Subscriber of this site to access the online scanner programming features of third party software...?
