Winnebago - BCD396XT - FreeScan

Please like me ask a simple question: Has anyone been able to program and monitor the Winnebago traffic using the BCD396XT and Freescan combination?

I'd love to hear from someone who's NOT having trouble! I am wanting to purchase the above combination but all the postings I have been reading make me a little concerned. Been monitoring on a police scanner for 40 years but never a trunking system.

I have one of those hand held ones but it still sitting in the box.
I can try today to progam it with arc500
has worked well on my radios so far.after church (good)friday I will try it

for the FreeScan User Guide. It will guide you through it. Take your time, read everything first. Go to the database for your area to see what is available first and make notes. This makes it easier when you go to download these systems later.
Work on one system at a time and build your database as you go. You can also post in your state forum, someone may have a file for your area that you could use and save you a lot of time. Without knowing what area you are in I can't really do much more at this time.
I use FreeScan to program a BCD396T, BCT15 and BCT15X. I currently have over 70 systems in my BCD396T.

this is using the arc program but an older Arc program I Imagine the program will work with the new 500 arc linkabove here
Or take some college classes to figure these dand things out good luck!!

Tim, thanks for your offer to help. Let's wait 'til I get my scanner and software. I just ordered it this morning.

I have the BCD396XT and I use Freescan. There was no problem using the two together. I used Firefox browser and then was able to copy and paste the info from RR database to Freescan.

I thought you could download the RR database directly into Freescan. Is this not so?

You can import using FREESCAN but not the ENTIRE database.
