Not too sure whats happened but in the last couple days I haven't heard any activity from Winnipeg Transit.
I was able to hear them until just recently, nothing had changed in my scanner at all, they just all of a sudden went silent, anybody know whats going on?

Just tuned in Winnipeg Transit. I'm hearing traffic. (On 412.6625 as I type this).

There are four UHF frequencies Winnipeg County, Manitoba (MB) Scanner Frequencies and Radio Frequency Reference I'm not sure how they're assigned, but they sometimes move around. I have all the frequencies programmed and I scan to see which one is in use. Then I park there.

You had me worried.. Winnipeg Transit is one of my favorites. You'd think bus stuff would be boring, but I've heard a lot of interesting calls.... "I just passed out and ran the bus into a house"... "There are two old guys fighting in the aisle and they're swinging their canes at each other"... "Someone left a 10 pound box of Junior Mints at the back of the bus" :)

Oh ya I know there are 4 freq's. I have them programmed and always have for the last year. Seemingly nothing has changed until recently where it's literal silence on my scanner since Saturday.

As I say.. It's working OK now. Been listening all morning :) I'm 50 km outside the city and it's coming in full bars..

Strange man. I'm right in the city literally 4 k from downtown, everything is in my scanner properly. I even put it back to factory and reinstalled the freq's. I get everything else conventionally, DMR, NXDN, LTR. But not the conventional transit freq's. I am not hearing them at all....

Very strange... The only thing I can think of is that CTCSS or DCS got set on the receive somehow but since you reset everything, that can't be the case..

Figured it out, not sure what happened but when I first put the freqs into my scanner I was using the 103.5PL
It seemed to work until the other day now all of a sudden after removing the PL I can hear activity. Not too sure what is going on with that but ya, it's pretty strange.

Perhaps they changed the tone? Or eliminated it? FWIW, I've never used a receive PL tone for Transit.

Glad you got it going..

Not too sure tbh...
They possibly eliminated the CTCSS tone as there is nothing else that is broadcasted on those frequencies, I tried scanning the other frequencies associated but all I got was blip tones from them...

RR should update the database on that. Thr moment you use the PL on any of those freqs it goes dead silent.

I'm kinda wondering if maybe its part of the changes they are making along with the routes as they have and ready to roll out on June 30.

Maybe possibly digital transmission on thise freqs in the future for clearer reception.
