Anyone know of / deal with a shop in MD that can accomplish Winradio (1550E) repair? I'm scared to bust open anything but the outer cover but the antenna connection needs to be repaired....

Yeah, I was told they can work on WR's.....any experience with the Grove repair shop?

Never sent a radio to them for repair. A simple job like that shouldn't cost too much. You may want to open it up and have a look for yourself. If solder joint is bad, A soldering pencil and some solder may be all you need to fix it.
