I guess we'll see how things pan out this evening. Good luck to those who have to be out in it.

It’s the worst he’s seen in ten years. Paul Frisbie with the National Weather Service says its “a bad boy, its a humdinger.”
The National Weather Service is forecasting winter storms for the entire Western Slope. A blizzard warning for the higher elevations lasts from 6 pm Thursday night until noon on Friday. Frisbie says it will “hit us hard with snow, blowing snow, reduced visibilities...its going to be a prolonged snow squall.”
Frisby suggests avoiding travel tonight and tomorrow morning, but if you do have to drive, make sure you’re prepared. Bring along a winter storm survival kit. Your kit should include items like blankets and extra clothing for warmth, non-perishable food and water for energy, a tool kit, and a snow scraper. Frisby says, “If you do happen to be stuck in a blizzard, you stay with your vehicle, turn the engine on periodically to stay warm, [and] keep the windows cracked so [you] don’t get carbon monoxide.” You should also make sure you’re visible to rescuers.
