Scanner alive with many MVAS in Jefferson and Berkeley Counties, including I-81. Snow on the ground is less than one inch at this time.

Lovely...if everyone only had a brain.

I knew I should have brought my camera to work today. I'm sure I'll see a lot on the way home.

MVA's

Between four counties in north central WV, there have been over 80 accidents.

Less than two inches of snow. Driver's ed should be held in the winter time!

Lots of MVVA in Raleigh County. Officer here said unless someone was hurt they would not respond. Then again, several officer here needed tow trucks to pull them out of ditches. Provided if that the tow truck was trying to get their self out of the ditch their self. Between police and fire they had 3 places closed off in 2 miles on 19 today while everyone was in the ditch.

At least several WVSP vehicles already struck by sliding vehicle, one needing a tow. A school bus from Jefferson County in MVA several miles south of Charles Town. "At least 10 students reporting problems, no major injuries" according to Command at scene. It appears that most accidents are in Berklely County and west at this time. Temperatures due to drop in the 20s later in evening in this area.

Another police vehicle has been hit by a "slider". No injuries.

1737 HRS-RT 51 between Charles Town and Innwood is closed due to above accident. Traffic is backed up for miles.

remember to listen to 453.9625MHz/123.0Hz for the District 5 DoH road crews.

Have been doing that all evening. Sure are a salty bunch.

There's one guy that's just hilarious.

I know it's listed as Equiment Maintenance for DoH in Berkeley County, but I feel it's actually a link extender for the District 5 lowband freq of 47.36MHz, PL of 123.0Hz. The database has the PL as 71.9Hz, but its wrong. I'm submitting a correction now. I noticed last year I heard NOTHING on the lowband freqs with that PL, so I was ready for this winter and set all to search.

I may be wrong, but I thought that I heard traffic on both the extender freq as well as the 47Mhz one. Didn't check the display but sounded like the same dispatcher's voice. Oh well, will probably be getting more snow within the next few weeks the way things are going now.
