Okay, I'm hoping someone can tell me what I'm doing wrong.

I have sold my PRO 96 and will be shipping it out tomorrow. However, I don't want to ship it full of Chicago area frequencies seeing I'm sending it to Delaware.

I've tried following the instructions on the wiki for re-initializing the scanner, but it doesn't seem to work. The information is still in each folder....well, sort of. I follow the steps and M000 appears on the top of the display and Bank 0 Ch00 appears on the bottom line, just like the wiki says.

However, after I loaded up the next folder and erased all that folder's info, I decided to reload folder"0" to make sure it was clean. It wasn't. There were all the CPD freqs I thought I had erased.

Now I'm really stumped.

I really need to get this radio cleaned out. Any help / tips / suggestions / comments will be greatly appreciated. Many thanks in advance.

Or,
Make sure that when you go to load another V-Scanner that you are saving the original file. You have just deketed everything, then if you save it, the scanner will rewrite that v-scanner as basically an empty folder. Then load another and do the same- just make sure you save it before you swithc to another v-scanner because the 96 won't save changes by default.

That might have been what I was forgetting to do; saving the newly erased folder.

Definitely a "D'OH" moment.

Thanks for the info.
