I know what the deal was. The other tech was on TG100 on the Shell Lake tower and only the Shell Lake tower.

Car 34 was talking to Car 35 again on TG 105 on Delafied Tower, But only heard Car 34's side of the radio traffic. For some reason I don't get the 139-140MHz in too well...so not sure if when Car 35 was responding it was on 139.8625 frequency.

Also, now 139.1875 I mentioned earlier is silent again.

Site 2 is Baraboo and already on the air, but not with that CC frequency. Continue to monitor and see if/when the site ID or frequency changes because I don't *think* 139.1875 is a correct frequency either.

I've noticed Baraboo using 139.1875 as it's CC for the last few weeks, after it's previous CC's went silent. I'm picking it up right now here in western Fond du Lac Co.

Just curious how you guys are reading the site ID #'s? I'm using a PRO-197 and a PRO-106, and they both only show dashes for system and site numbers in CC analyze. Maybe there is a setting or something that I'm overlooking?

Thanks, Tony

I am not sure how everyone else does it...but I use my trusty BC396. I know that plenty of other people use computer programs to get that info.

996XT. I just hit the hold button on a site and it displays the information.

Also, I was in Superior this week and coverage for Bennett up there is horrible. I sure hope that Wren. Site comes up soon to help cover things better.

How is the percentage decode? On my PSR-500 I get 99% decode on Chilton and it shows the ID. (The 106 and the 500 are one and the same.)

About Wrenshall, That sure seems to be a ways out for the Superior area. I would think that the Duluth Hillside or Pattison Park areas would provide a better footprint. I don't know a thing about anything, and I have seen the coverage tests from the proposed Wrenshall site and they look good for this area but even for real public safety portable radio (not our toys) use I just wonder.... We will just have to wait and see.

I agree with your assessment, jdm911. I honestly think that the whole Wrenshall thing needs to be reassessed and moved to Duluth. That would provide the best coverage...however I'm no radio tech. We will see how the coverage is once it's actually up.

Where I am located I can receive Chilton, Baraboo, Eden, and Columbus, and all with 98-99% decode. And all just show dashes for system/site ID. At first I though maybe they weren't showing up because the system is still being built. But it won't show system/site ID's on Washington County's new P25 system, either. It will show system/site ID's on non-P25 trunked systems, however. I have all the latest CPU and DSP updates. Maybe someone else has had the same issue, and I have one of the settings on the scanner wrong?

Thanks

Hearing a CC on 140.3625 (SYS ID = 0B0Ch-1717) from Milwaukee County tonight. Doesn't sound close by..possible Kenosha or Walworth counties?

I'm hearing a control channel on 139.1125 MHz but it's too weak to decode. I see in the database that is the primary for Black River. I thought Black River was on 152 before, but I may be mistaken.

Can anyone tell if it switched or is this possibly a new site?

I lot of sites have switched down to 139 from 150 for their CCs, probably what happened there.

Quite possibly it did, but I actually just found a new site on that frequency.

Site 3636, 139.1125 MHz

I also picked up a control channel on 139.4125 MHz, decoded B0C system ID, but no site ID. I see that is the primary control channel for Perkinstown which was just added. Range is about right, so I'm guessing that's it.

Does anyone know any reason why some of these sites show no site ID?

A new control channel is on-the-air in the Forest/Florence counties area on 152.8125.

For some unknown reason the information my PSR-600 is receiving from the control channel is incomplete.

I'm having the same problem with my 600. I am receiving five WISCOM sites (Haven, Chilton, Eden, De Pere, Delafield) and Washington Co, the analysis display only shows the decoding quality percentage and network access code

In my last post I forgot to mention that I caught a transmission on RTAC61 off Bennett.

OpSec, would you prefer to have new site info submitted through the submit page rather than in this thread, or not?

So, what kind of testing are you hearing? I have limited reception of the Bennet tower, I seem to catch a lot of quick tests on 105 (never any voice). I did hear about a half a sentence on 104 this afternoon but no real conversations. Just interested if others are hearing more consistant tests?

Occasionally I've been getting units calling out on STAC-1 on Saturday mornings. It's weird.
