How accurate is the info in the database for Sauk and Columbia counties. I have read that WDPD is P25 and isnt. I will be headed up there for a week starting monday, I have already programmed the XTS5000 for most everything. Any really active Fire/police freqs that would be recommended.

Dells PD runs mixed mode. Analog and P25 Encrypted.

Sauk is current, I was down there last month and had all the stuff in there.

So far no P25 activity on WDPD

They normally run analog unless something sensitive is being said, then they switch to P25 encrypted.

Yeah, I just brought an analog scanner and they were quite talkative on analog.

Hot channels for the area I would include:
Columbia 154.145 and 154.220 Fire
Marquette 155.880 and 151.385 Fire 155.190 SO
Adams 151.100 and 151.325...154.755

Unless the call is really important they stay analog most of the time but switch to digital to become encrypted.
