I haven't heard anything for a couple of days on the Withlacoochee Electric (WREC) frequencies. 153.440, 153.620 or Bayonet Point in Pasco 153.695. Does anyone know if they switched to a DMR system or something else? I have a Pro 197 and a ICOM R6. Thanks.

Are you able to take out the ctcss/dpl tone out and if you hear digital noise that isn't p25 than most likely it is dmr.

Thanks Bravo. Would a Chinese radio with DMR capability be able to monitor them? If not scanner recommendation please.
It would kinda work (I wouldn't try it case if that PTT gets hit by mistake). I don't know if if that system is open or encrypted. it won't follow any voice channels cause of pulse of the control channel and time slots change since it is a trunking system. You'll have to keep changing channels would wear out your knob and buttons after awhile. Only way to follow correctly is the uniden x36 or the sds 100/200 with paid up grades for dmr.

So is there anything in the clear? It was nice to be able to monitor them especially after hurricane Milton. I heard them working on the transformer that covers our area and 30 minutes later power was restored.

Nothing is open on that system plus they are using RAS. The RRDB has been updated.
