Anyone know when or if they are going digital ? I just ordered a Radio Shack Pro-197 so when or if they go digital I`ll be able to hear them.

Provided they do not go with one of the systems that can not be received with any current production scanner, like MOTOTRBO, OpenSky, Phase II, etc. I would have waited to see which system they decide to go with before making a new purchase.

there has been talk about going p25 and they have the radios to do it but i do know fire will not be p25 but as far as police and sheriff may go p25 but the jail is already p25. being on the fd here in rapids and into ham radio i have alot of people i can get the info from.

Thank you RRUNYON657,I just hope that if they do go ditigal,I`ll be able to get them on my Pro-`197.
