Ahh that makes sense, and thanks for the advice GM. So TG 2001 is constantly patched to 453.225? Because I've heard some things that are definitely not inter-ops. Also, come to think of it, I haven't been hearing any FD or EMS traffic (although pages still go out on the OEM channel), so I can't say if the patches are there.

Also, sorry for going OT, but does any computer software exist to program something like the 106? For example Win95 for the Pro95 (which without would be a BEAR to program by hand). Thanks again.

Win500: PSR-500, PSR-600, PRO-106, PRO-197, PSR-310, PSR-410 Scanner Software for Data Management, Monitoring, and Control

Looks like we have another active TG in the mix previously unidentified:

3022 Digital Channel Ops 3? (Referred to as Ch. 13 on the Fire Band)

It was being used as some type of fireground tactical talk-around for the Rt. 440 accident/disaster operation that occured earlier in the day, except used on the trunked network. Looks like I'm going to have to make a few new friends and investigate this further... :)

Edit: Yep, I should have done my homework beforehand (see message below)... Thanks Robert! Time to update my radios - I was going by what was listed in the database and didn't see them listed yet... :)

I wonder if they'll be keeping the old analog channel 1 then? Man, I hope so. It sucks not being able to hear what's going on in your own damn town.

Pro-106 Issue

I have a pro-106 which i have used the Win500 Software to program recently, and now I have a hard time hearing the entire communication on any of the fire talkgroups. I hear like 3 words, lose 2, hear 3, etc...

Any ideas?

Try moving your antenna around to different locations your probably getting interference or Multipath signals
you may be getting interference on one or more frequencies in the system watch your display to see if certain freqs are causing the problem

Anyone know if WPD is still using 453.750 for car-to-car? I doubt they will/are but figured I'd ask. Thanks.

No, they are fully on the TRS for PD operations. There appears to be at least 6 talkgroups they have to use. What used to be 453.200 is now on 'A-2'...

I know it was stated earlier in the thread that these are patches, but I'm still hearing activity on 453.225, 453.200, and the occasional encrypted burst on 453.750.

I've only heard the 453.200 repeater key up with no audio. I figure it's a data burst of some kind, otherwise I've heard nothing lately on it. The intermittent bursts on .750 have been happening for quite some time now, maybe a year or more.

Just heard Morse code on .200, assuming it was a callsign

Radio IDs

I've been spending alot of time trying to decipher all the radio ID's for the different Fire departments so I can load them all into my pro-106 so I can just look at the screen and tell who's on the radio (I also want to do that with WPD, but I'm starting with all the FD's).

I figured I'd throw this out there and ask if anyone has already done this, or has a list?

Thanks in advance!

Has anyone confirmed that there is a PL or not on the UHF dispatch channel? I had my radio with me last Friday in town, & there was a serious amount of signal coming from a co-channel user on that frequency (quite annoying).

I'm pretty sure it was Nassau County I was hearing, although I could be wrong on that!

yeah nasau county police has the nearest license for the paging frequency. It gets REALLY annoying with the pagers. I like keeping mine on the monitor setting when im home or somewhere where i don;t care about hearing all the tones, but sometimes i just can not take it!!! constantly hearing the dispatches from them. I know before i had the dpl 072 on the old system for oem use, i would hear it all the time. I really wish someone did their homework on this frequency and used something different.
