New Talkgroups / Radio IDs

So I have had my scanner on a wildcard scan, and noticed a lot of new TGRP (14076 - 14093) as well a bunch of new RADIO ID's (600000 - 601849).

Does anyone know what they are? Most of the TGRP's are encrypted and the ones that aren't are just random chatter.

From what the birds told me, it's the City of Perth Amboy in that range. Most of the ENC transmissions are the Detective Bureau so far. Don't be surprised to see Carteret jump aboard the TRS in the future, but nothing confirmed at this time. Perth Amboy Fire Dept. has been heard testing in that talkgroup range in the clear at various times.

I've been told by a reliable source that there will be a new user on the Woodbridge TRS full-time starting on or about August 1st this year. Details to follow as they become available. Unitrunker, wildcard, data slicers, and other search programs welcome to find any new dirt on this...

My close friend is a FF with Edison FD & handles most of the TRS programming for them. He told me it's probably going to be Carteret. I asked about Perth Amboy & he told me they are planning to go with county (I scoffed at that one!).

He told me there is discussions going on about there being TWO county systems, and that Edison is about to commit to purchasing the same P25 infrastructure that Woodbridge did.

As of July 1st the City of Perth Amboy will be the new user on the Woodbridge Township TRS. Carteret currently has no plans to jump onto another system although a few options have been discussed.

After doing some more investigation, that is what I heard as well about Perth Amboy. The PD will be encrypted & the FD & EMS will be in there clear.

Nothing further in any concrete way about Carteret...

I have friends on PAPD and a friend who's on Carteret Fire, it is for sure Perth Amboy, they are already "trying" the system, using it for non-critical coms right now, and are slated to go full time this summer. Carteret was going to come on originally but due to budget reasons, are remaining with thier old equipment.

Looks like Perth Amboy is continuing to test out the TRS, with 14085 being Perth Amboy Fire Dispatch in clear P25 mode. All other TG's in this range have been in the P25 ENC mode thus far, and from a trusted source, I've been told that most of the talkgroups will be encrypted. Not 100% on that but that's what the source told me recently.

Barring some miraculous grant money or the growth of a magical money tree, the hospital won't be buying any new radios for EMS. I'm told the Perth Amboy Fire UHF repeater won't be going anywhere. You might hear MIC-1 or MIC-2 on the Woodbridge system because they were each provided an XTS portable radio.

If there was a way to allow control from both my WIN500 and allow the data stream into the server, I would. I just don't know how to, nor do I think it can be done. Is that correct?

Ah yeah, I ran into this issue when I used Win500 as well... I have since gotten new scanners and use ProScan, which does allow me to do that. I don't think Win500 is capable of streaming to RR directly; I don't know if the developer ever plans on doing so, but that would help tremendously if he did.

I guess for now, it's SOL. The important part is that the feed is up.

Perth Amboy is running 100% encrypted on all talkgroups in the 140xx range, except Fire 1, which is 14085. TG 14086 is rumored to be Perth Amboy Fire 2 (ENC mode also), which is what they switch over to for all operations. If I get a hold of my contact, I will try and confirm the names of the TG's.

FD Units are present at SWAT and other PD related issues so it would make sense to have a fire and ems TG that are encrypted for use at these type of incidents but i agree normal fire ops do not need to encrypted

Ok, so they're getting permission now to use new frequency pairs between 500-506MHz? I thought most of the system was operating in the 480 range - where were they getting the ducting interference from?
