I don't like rumors but this seemed credible. I talked to a RFD friend few days ago who's in-the-know and is usually right on the money. He said there's talk of Rahway going onto the WPD system. I doubt it but you never know. Anyone else heard anything about this?

Fire Paging

Can anyone confirm what freq. Woodbridge Fire Districts are being paged on. I have tried the 478.9125 listed on the database and have not heard anything in some time.

Just heard a page on 478.9125. Often times though the dispatcher doesn't mention the location of the incident. For example, the page I just heard went something like this:
"*tones* Station 7 to District 11 you have a fire call. Station 7 to District 11 respond to your station for a fire call. Time out 1510".

478.9125 is the page out freq No PL CSQ

Location is given for paid departments only such as Woodbridge proper
Volleys Colonia - Dist 12 / Avenel - Dist 5 no location just fire call

Location descriptions during a page aren't based on the paid vs volunteer status of the department. Keasby and Hopelawn are volunteer and they give the locations in the pages. Its done based on the response location. Avenel(5), Iselin(9), Iselin(11), Colonia(12), all have their members respond to the fire house, and then ride the apparatus to the scene. Woodbridge(1), Port Reading(2), Keasby(4), Fords(7) and Hopelawn(8) all have their members respond to the scene, thus the need for the location of the call to be sent over the page.

It helps 5 9 11 and 12 to keep members from "cherry picking" calls.

I was trying to id the TG's for the schools, however I'm unfamiliar with them. I do have TG's 7001 and 7002 logged in my scanner but unable to determine who is the user. (Possibly BOE wide??)

I still have 7000 - 7005 and 7036 -7037 left.

I know there is a "District Wide" and "Admin" channel. I believe the 7001 is "District Wide" but haven't been able to confirm them. The others are just a toss up.....

Colonia FD and EMS dispatches

There's multiple FD and EMS dispatch TG's and I haven't heard any Colonia-specific page outs yet (just got a Pro-106 so finally able to monitor Woodbridge again). Can anyone tell me which TG's for FD and EMS are for Colonia? Thanks.

TonyS,

Colonia Fire would operate on Fire Dispatch 2 and would use Fireground 12 at the scene. All the pages are on 478.9125 with the tone pair of 1217.5 / 903.0.

All EMS dispatch is done on EMS Dispatch.

For the TG numbers please see the database. It is current / up - to - date.

The link/patch to the 453.2250 freq. is currently not active. Not sure how long that has been in place. I also talked with one of my Perth Amboy contacts, and was told that primary operations will be on the TRS, and that the P25 453.4250 and 453.3000 freq's are used as back up channels.

Hi! So, I'm still fairly new to the scanner world, etc. I used to listen to Perth Amboy frequently prior to them going encrypted, and I noted that you said primary operations will be on the TRS. Can you just clarify on all that? Will they still be encrypted, etc?

Perth has been on the WB TRS for quite some time now, and the only thing in the clear is the simulcast TGID of fire dispatch.

Woodbridge TRS New Talkgroups

Another mystery to solve: I was running Unitrunker today and noticed that four new talkgroups popped up:

15001
15002
15004
15005

All were affiliations only, except 15004, which was in the clear. I wasn't able to hear if any voice came across since I didn't have them programmed and was away from my radio at the time, but anyone within range might want to program them into your radios and see if you can catch which agency/dept is using these new TG's.
