Work on Bell Fleetnet System going on

Bell Fleetnet system BMR tech's are doing work on Welland, Niagara Falls Towers, dispatch said something about trying to lock up the system to see what happens. Also getting a lot of bogus 7xxxxx series id's comming up that lock up the bc250d scanner with control channel noise on Bannockburn,Bisset Creek Towers.

I go by the information and frequencies that are on this web site to set my towers up are you saying that the information is wrong.

However, those frequencies you've listed are used at sites that are a lot closer to you then Bissett Creek.

What kind of calls or callsigns are you hearing? Are you hearing stuff local to Bissett Creek or some other area?

I hate to say it, an I don't even use a trunktracker or anything, but that ain't the Bisset Creek Tower you'd be listening to. Bisset Creek is in the North end of Renfrew County.

Do you really think any of those ID's would be found on the Bissett Tower which is up on Hwy 17 iirc?

You're hearing something pretty close to you that's not the Bissett Creek tower.

Bissett Creek is a Zone 2 tower and you've logged all sorts of Zone 1 ID's.

I have no Idea where bissett creek is and I am not a expert when it comes to information on all these different towers, All I do from time to time is try different towers and see if I can receive anything off these towers, I would think that if I'm receiving something off one of these towers then I am picking up this tower. I listen to Niagara Falls and Welland tower in my area so I just thought if I receve anything off the other towers then I should expect that I'm picking up that tower. From time to time I picked up Aylmer,BALLINAFAD,CAYUGA,DRUMMOND CENTRE,EDGAR,ESSEX,GLAMMIS,KING CITY,LONDON,MISSISSAUGA, towers, are you saying I'm not picking up these towers if so then why am I picking up traffic on these towers, I don't understand if these towers are to far away for me to be picking up traffic then what am I hearing.

As far as control channels as I said in my other post I set the frequencies that are on this web site, these are the frequencies I am using for the different towers, also I have a bc250-d and I set the system up using this scanner.

Getting back to the work that BMR is doing, are you noticing any new
freq's while searching 141.000 to 144.000 for Welland and Niagara ?

Sorry all I heard was the dispatcher say there was work going on and they wanted to do a test to see if they could lock the system up. I did not listen to the scanner after that.

a regular basis. Sounds like scanner heaven to me !!
