Been working just over one hour & still going. Single family 2 story structure, but it must be big. One side collapsed. Also updating chiefs on incident 3.

Found some comunication on 06-072 "Incident 3" as called on the air. This was primarily Chiefs, Division Chiefs, and Arson units planning stragities. All tactical comm was on 06-023. It was a 2.5 sty single family, type 3 const, 30x50 house with partial roof and side B collapse. The outer brick wall failed and took about a 20 long by 15 high section out, the inner brick wall was sagging. The roof appeared to be a burn through. I know sometime DFD uses 07-xxx for "simplex" talk, I didn't hear anything on any of these.

Correct, there were no "event" tg's used (07-xxx). House was being fixed up to sell, but now is a total loss. Pretty sure no one was hurt, which is always the main concern.

R / About 6 miles from my house. I'm sure media was there, but I didn't monitor it. You know me, I was watching Spiderman Two on the idiot box..lol.
Lots of things going on tonight. At the convention center this afternoon I heard their security saying that the CSP wanted to use some of their radios. I just now heard on a PD TG that someone was throwing beer over a balcony. You have to come down sometime so you can hear all this fun sh*t.

I hope you do come down sometime, you owe me a lunch (just kidding). A while back, Jim mentioned having a get together sometime, but I guess that not enough people showed interest.

No details yet / working fire on DFD F3 / 787 / 06-023

approx Alameda & Downing

DENVER - For more than an hour Saturday night, firefighters fought 30 foot flames that severely damaged a home near the Denver Country Club.

The house and two others near it have been evacuated. Fire officials say there's so much damage that the house could buckle under its own weight.

"When the crews arrived on the scene, the back side of the house had completely collapsed and the left side had a partial collapse," said Denver Fire Captain Eric Tate.

The fire broke out just before 6:30pm at 186 S. Corona Street in Denver. Several neighbors who live nearby said they heard a loud pop or explosion before the fire started.

"I could see a 10 foot section of the wall in the rear of the house had blown out. All of the windows in the back had blown out. The kitchen was fully involved in the fire," said Steve Wilson who lives four houses away.

The blaze was so intense that firefighters were not able to fight the fire from the inside. They focused their energy on protecting the other homes nearby.

At one point, a number of power lines fell to the ground trapping a team of firefighters. The team managed to work its way to safety.

Fire investigators hope to get inside the house on Sunday to determine what caused the blaze.

I'll check out the hotel situation. I should go to sleep, but damnit, it's Saturday night, and another vodka & ice tea is tempting  .
