A team of engineers from Columbia Engineering created the nano-mechanical system using graphene, a form of carbon that has properties similar to silicon commonly used to make software chips.

Eventually I can see some applications or users using in time smaller radios. Even now there is the cell phone like apx series. I remember when the visar came out and it was basically a ht1000 just smaller. It's interesting to see now the technology get smaller but ill always be one of the people carrying a ht, xts apx block on hip over the cell phone apx or smaller but wouldn't mind having a smaller deal for collection.

I'm with you on that, I want something to hold!! I love the Yaesu FT-60R ham radio because of its size, same with commercial radios, the MTS2000 that our service uses is the perfect size.

Then, I think that my IC-E7 is even smaller with its dimensions W*H*D: 47*81*28 mm and weight of 160 grams with battery and antenna there we can really talk about pocket-size.
