Would this be good for use with a scanner?

I recently came across a deal online for a VHF UHF high gain built in amp outdoor antenna. More specifically the SatMaximum SM 1080a.. Paid $25! I know that this is a TV antenna, but I was curious what you guys thought about using this with my scanners.. Like i said, I only paid $25 for it and I really don't have a use for it. Would I overload a scanner with this thing or would it actually be beneficial?

Spec sheet says it covers FM from 47Mhz to 860Mhz..

You wont find much about this antenna anywhere online. I believe it must be discontinued.. Believe me I searched pretty hard for anything about it.. Even the satmaximum website bears no mention of this antenna anywhere.. This site is the only thing i could find with a picture of it http://www.fatwallet.com/forums/expired-deals/992709/

Try it and see what happens, but you will need to rotate the antenna so the elements are vertical. If it overloads the scanner, try it without using the amp.
