If your new to the hobby, you might consider this one: http://wiki.radioreference.com/index.php/Home_Patrol

Or if your comfortable programming and operating an advanced scanner, try these links :

BC346XT - The RadioReference Wiki

BC246T - The RadioReference Wiki

This one will work in the future, if they were to change to digital, I can't say if they would or not, but it seems to be the trend.

BCD396XT - The RadioReference Wiki

Also, RadioShack and GRE hav scanners that would meet your needs, go here for all the scanners you can think of :)

As pointed out by other's the BC 340CRS will not pick up the Fredericton Trunk Radio system.
Also as mentioned above, chech the Wiki for basic info on scanning.
However, if your looking at this model as a starter scanner it will pick up agencies in the
Fredericton area that are not Trunked.
Such as;
Aircraft
Ambulance NB
FIre Departments(other than Fredericton)
Department of Natrual Resources
RCMP

Bare in mind that over the next few years a new inter-provincal system will be going into service.
When that happens, you will need a one of the scanner models suggested by the other
members to listen to it.

Assuming Fredericton is still mostly analog, you should be able to pick up something like a cheap Radio Shack Pro-97 or Pro-95, or a Uniden BC246T or
