Would This Work For Sat/etc?

I'm just taking a stab at this, but is it possible to pick up sats/etc with an old Radio Shack Pro-29???

Many of you may have seen me asking alot of q/a's about this Pro-29 recently. I'm just trying to figure out what's out there to listen to these days, and what, if any, new equip i may need to purchase.

Hi,

The first thing to check is that the Pro-29 covers the bands your interested in, actually i've just looked it up and it seems that it doesnt cover the 240-270MHZ range needed for UHF milsats. You could however use it for VHF 136-138MHz satellite downlinks, perhaps the WEFAX stuff.

You'll need a reasonable antenna to do this tho, something like a QFH.
