BCD436HP/BCD536HP: Would you buy the 436HP over again?

Yes I would buy it again. I have the same issues with the RTC and display that many others have experienced. But the 436HP/536HP have been the best scanners I have ever owned for my situation here in Los Angeles, specifically, tons of stations (need lots of memory) and adjacent interference up the wazoo, where the ability to use the narrow FM filters in the x36HPs allows me to clearly hear (without clutter) some stations that are not possible with my other scanners. Also love the zipcode/DB feature when traveling.

I have had my 436 for a year now and have not had any issues at all. The only issue that drives me crazy is the glare on the screen and I can't hardly see anything on the screen because everything is so small. I don't love the radio but I don't hate it. It's just a toy and when I am ready to dump it I will take a loss and put it up on Flee-Bay and get rid of it.

One thing I did to help reading the screen is enter everything in CAPS in Sentinel. Also turn up the contrast to a fairly high setting. It won't help with the glare but I find it's easier to read the words at least.

1) That's what I do, I enter everything in CAPS and have contrast up to 15 on the 436HP.
2) Forgot I posted way back early in this thread and basically said the same thing. So I double posted.
On the other hand, I have two 436HPs, so just count each post for each 436HP.
