long story short, my friend let me borrow his pro-97 to take to an airshow... well i am trying to learn it now so i am not fumbling around with it at the show...

i am having a lot of trouble programing trunked systems... if someone could maybe help me.. i am thinking the best way is ICQ/AIM/yahoo messenger or something...

thanks in advanced...

Are you using software or doing it by hand? Are the show freq's you're looking for on a trunked system? What kind of trunked system? Did your friend give you some tips on programming the scanner? Need more info. BTW, the easier-to-read manual is great, just takes some time to understand it. LOTS of threads dedicated here to programming the 97 here. That's how I learned, mostly.

welp..

i am doing it by hand... some of the airports use a trunked system and i think the blue angles are on a trunked sys...

as of now i am just programing (trying to) some local things to familiarize myself with the scanner and its features... my friend didnt tell me anything...lol

i can handle the conventional systems... but here is a screen shot of the airports freqs

Those all look like conventional freqs. That may explain why you're having trouble programming them as trunked systems. :)

Listen to the Angles and Thunderbirds when they do our local airshow, never had to set up a trunk sys. to do it. Just FYI also our airshow uses a different freq than the normal tower freq for communications with the planes in the show.

Hmmm. There must be an echo on this thread, but delayed by 2-1/2 hours.
