WQET941

Hi,

I received a transmission on 47.420 MHz using CW identifying itself as WQET941. I am based in New York City. Any ideas of where this repeater or station is from?

You can look it up in the FCC ULS database.

Think you have the call incorrect. 47.420 is usually assigned to American Red Cross.

I may have it wrong, I am new to CW. The station you linked must be them; however, I always record what I listen to and decoded it again, but still came up with WQET941. I will attach the audio file of the CW this sent, but could this be an error on their part?

Doesn't mean the Technician programmed it correctly either

Since WQET941 is licensed to a UHF station in Arizona, there is not question the that the ID you heard Should Have been WQEW9841. Note: in listening to your cw capture, the spacing around that "T" sounds a little off. It could be a problem with the cw generator rather than mis-programming.
