Writing to the 396

My configurations are writing ok to the 396 but the info for tone outs and the info for the opening screen isnt writing to it either.
It appears as if each system config has its own 10 tone outs. is this correct??
Also is there a way to move systems around once your program them in. For example if I want to place all my systems in alpha order how can i move them around.
Help me please

Yes. Its own toneouts, its own opening screen, everything in the system configuration tabs is unique to that configuration.

Also is there a way to move systems around once your program them in. For example if I want to place all my systems in alpha order how can i move them around.

I haven't exactly figured that out yet, but I believe they're in alphabetical order in UASD, but quick key order in the radio itself, regardless of anything you can do.

For the first part, are you clicking UPLOAD CONFIGURATION?

For the order, program them with ascending System Quick Keys in the order you want them.

I believe the scanner will sort them in SQK order first, than any with the same SQK (or no SQK) will be sorted in the order they are written to the scanner, so another alternative would be to assign NO SQKs to them, and erase all before you write so they are written in alphabetical order.
