I have had a WS1040 for a number of years and it was programmed when I received it. I am running into the issue of scrambled channels now that were not scrambled then. What is the easiest way do get rid of those channels. Currently I just lock out the ones that are scrambled, but if I turn it off, on again at a later date, I have to start locking out again. Any thoughts suggestions or comments appreciated.
Thanks

Push “func” (for function) then L/O (lock out) for permanent lock out. Just pushing L/O is temporary lock out.

It would help to know your city, county, and state so we can get our eyes on the database. Besides encryption, talkgroups may have changed to P25 Phase 2. The WS1040 is capable of receiving P25 Phase 1 only. Conventional frequencies and trunked systems in your area may be totally different since your scanner was programmed.
