From what I read, limit search objects are mapped to scan lists. If the search is on a scan list, turn off that scan list or remove the search object from the scan list. That can be done in the Limit menu. I have never used limit search. I got that info from my Radio Shack Pro-197 manual. That scanner is the WS1065's older brother.
