WS 1080 not receiving well

Hello I have a GRE COM 800, Whistler converted it to a WS 1080. was working great until lately . My unit isn't receiving that well, every time update or had channels through EZ Scan my unit does not receive well. I contacted Jon at Whistler he stated to get a new San Disk memory card, I did and formatted it and still have the same issue, ever since I updated my unit through EZ Scan I have had this issue. Basically it does not receive or it is very slow to receive. Any ideas?

If you have the problem since reprogramming, it sounds like a problem in the file. Please attach your archive file and I will take a look at it. You should be using the WS1080 EZ Scan. What is your city and county? Check if the attenuator is turned on and your squelch setting.

Only scan lists 1, 2, and 3 are enabled in the file. If you reprogram, you turn off all scan lists except the first three. Also, try a different antenna.

No Simulcast issues at all.

I only want list 1-3 on when I scan. other lists are extra.

How long does the scanner function OK before you have to turn it off and back on? Did it work OK before the upgrade? Is the upgrade still under warranty?

Time varies, Worked great before upgrade. No warranty. Also the issue only seems to be on DMR channels I have in a list.

It's beginning to sound like a possible hardware problem. Components can fail after heating for a period of time. You can also have leakage currents in components which set up a time constant and can cause failure after being on for a while. Bad solder connections can cause similar problems. Try removing the cover and check to see if there is any corrosion on the circuit board.

I receive all WX channels conventional anolog P25. Just acts up on Dmr

Another thing to try is to reload the firmware.
