First, if you have a backup of your scanner configuration on EZ Scan, I would prepare the SD card through the EZ Scan and then download the configuration/library to the scanner. If you have an adapter for the SD Card I suggest doing it with the card attached to your computer rather than in the scanner.

The WS-1080 supports up to 200 'virtual scanners', each having its own compete configuration. In EZ-Scan select File/New Configuration and then choose an unused folder (leave your default configuration alone) and then you can configure it as you like.

It looks like a Berrien County Simulcast site was added today on the MPSCS statewide trunked system. It's green in the database. The programming needs to be updated.

There is a whistler software sticky at the top of the Whistler section for downloads and library 894 (Nov 2024), this will not help you with the changes after November 2024.. You can still use ezscan and will have to manually add the system to ezscan. Then copy the configuration to the scanner/sdcard.
I suggest you go to youtube and start teaching yourself or pay someome to do it for you remotely via a computer, ezscan and the internet.

If you have the configuration currently in your EZ Scan software that you use to Copy Configuration to Scanner Memory/SD card to program the scanner, that is the file you need to attach. If the configuration is currently in the software, go to the File tab and Save Current Configuration to Archive. It will be a CDAT file. Give the file a name and save it. Attach that file to your post.

That is a huge file. I am going to have you add the site.

1. Click on Trunked Radio Systems tab in EZ Scan.
2. Click on MPSCS system.
3. Click on Site Details tab.
4. Lockout the current sites in Berrien County.
5. Click on New
6. Name site Berrien Co Simul (Alpha Tag).
7. Enter frequencies: 851.775, 852.7875, 859.475
8. Click on Site Options.
9. Set Trunking Tables to Auto Fill.
10. Click on File tab and Save Current Configuration to Archive.
11. Connect cable to scanner.
12. Copy Configuration to Scanner Memory/SD Card.

Note: For P25 sites with all 800 MHz frequencies, Trunking Tables can be set to Standard. If any frequencies in a site are other than 800 MHz, Trunking Tables must be set to Auto Fill. Looking at the licenses for the new site, there are some 700 MHz frequencies.

It appears that there is a 7-site simulcast cell that covers the entire county. I suspect that the other sites will all be going away. That can be both a blessing and a curse. The blessing is that you will be able to monitor all radio traffic in Berrien County using the single simulcast site. The curse is that you may experience simulcast distortion depending upon your location. That results in missed transmissions, garbled audio, or possibly no reception at all. I see that several frequencies from other sites are already incorporated into the new simulcast site.
