Just for your info, I purchased the 1080, after using my 668, because I love the 668, but was worried about firmware support, and I was curious about the conventional freq menu the 1080 had, that the 668 did not. After having owned both for about a month now, I have only used the conventional freq option on the 1080 once, and when the firmware update came through for the 1080, for the rechargeable battery meter, an update came through for the 668 a day later. Both radios work great, and I can highly recommend either one.

Thanks!! If anyone else would like to comment on if they used DSD with the WS 1080 or RS 668 I would like to know. Particularly for the ProVoice DSD?
