Ws 1080 squelch settings

Is it common to have to turn the squelch way down When listening to a p25 trunked system. I have to fine tweak it for any reception.

I typically keep my squelch at about "10 o'clock" (there's an indicator around the dial that suggests this is a good place to set it). Of course, every situation is different. However, extreme (full) clockwise or counter-clockwise is not normal.

I noticed this after the 4.6 upgrade. Went back to older firmware and same result.

Turning down the squelch has been suggested when monitoring P25 in other postings I have read.

I just hope the last upgrade didn't damage anything. I see the flashing S and T but no traffic on trunked systems unless they have a very strong signal.

Try deleting all the data on the sd card then copy the configuration TO the scanner from ezscan. It could be some data didn't copy correctly.
