WS 1088 Can't connect to computer

It keeps saying that the scanner is not detected. I using the same cable that works great for my TRX 1 . I have downloaded the driver from the whister website. I have tried holding down the menu button when connecting the USB cable.

ws1088 uses ezscan.

You must have the scanner OFF.
Try a new data cable, if he has the same issue, delete the comport driver and reinstall.

These things can be finicky from personal experience. If it doesn't connect, what will work is remove the sd card with scanner off.
Put the sd card in one of those sd card adapters, put that in your computer and I can pretty much guarantee it will update that way. Then once done put it back in the radio.

Someone with a Whistler scanner just had the same problem. It was the USB cable they were given. Try another USB-B cable that transfers data.
