HRO seems to be quietly blowing out the WS-1098 at $319.95 delivered to your door! I just put mine in my car and I ordered me a new one for the shack. These are great radios. Wish I could have ordered 2 more. Wanted to let everybody Know.!!!!

If it is like my WS-1095 .. would not pay 10 cents for another one. Total **** front end on that thing.

Save your money and buy a TRX-1 or 2 .. way way better radios.

Don't get stuck with a 1095. (discontinued) "Get you a WS-1098 currently on sale at HRO." $319.95

Other than they are the same radio with a different face plate. You can easily turn a 1095 in to a 1098 by buying the face plate from Whistler.

Just got a WS1088 from HRO and I have to say that it's a pretty good deal. There is some NXDN where I'm at but not worth another 150.00 for the TRX-1.

I've got a "refurb" 1098 at home as my remote base scanner...absolute rock solid digital decode on a simulcast 800 system...haven't taken it mobile, but for the purpose I bought it for, it's amazing. My old Unidens at the same location are like 30-50 ERR rate...ugh.

I take back what I said. The TRX-1 is worth the extra money to receive NXDN.
