Attempting to upload to my ws1065 with win500 but I am receiving a no response from scanner message. I'm lost. Tried updating drivers....

If the cable you're using came with a short adapter cable that converts it to a Mono plug, don't use that adapter. Also, you can try the FTDI drivers available from http://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/CDM/CDM21226_Setup.zip
