I have a Grecom PSR-800 aka WS1080, similar to TRX1. I live in Santee and I can barely pick up sheriffs Santee Dispatch... often gargled or silent. However when I scan random, I am picking up CHP, SDPD on both 700 and 800, NBSD, Border Patrol, etc all very clear..... yet I cannot get my own local dispatch! What gives? Any advice on tuning the AGC, ADC, DAC, etc?

PS I have a clear view of Cowles, rattlesnake peak, and Mt Miguel from my house..... could this be a "simulcast" problem? Not sure if simulcast means multiple antennas or multiple cells.
Thanks in advance

Simulcast means 2 or more transmitters transmitting the same exact frequency at the same exact time. That scanner will work but you need to get out the old bag of tricks LESS ANTENNA so it only sees one site not both or try a SDS100 that is designed to work in those environments.
