Having replaced the control head on my WS1095 to make it effectively a 1098, I'm wondering if a similar swap could be made on the handheld equivalents (assuming that Whistler would sell just the front panel).
I just looked at a PSR800 front panel that I have. Turns out the controls aren't actually part of the panel, it just has the speaker. Though I suppose a "daughterboard" swap might be a possibility.
