This seems to have come to be in the last full update I did.
I have only one scanlist enabled in a scanset but the scanner scans all the lists in the set. Or at least appears to be doing that, it scrolls thru all the scanlist names AS IF it was scanning them all. If I uncheck that one last list, I get the 'nothing to scan' message, so I might guess I really am scanning only one list, but it's really annoying to see all the lists scrolling down the display, as I like to check the display and verify everything is as I want. I want to only show the list(s) that have been enabled.

I've never run into this before, so I really don't know where to look that I haven't looked already. Undoubtedly a box checked or unchecked, but everything looks about right that I have seen.

Any help?

The Advanced*Tab of the Software is where you can limit and size what your scan SETS will be. You can also turn them on/off there *just like you can do in the Menu of the Scanner. A NORMAL scan-set is ALL the scanlists ...1-150? whatever they had as default. You can change the range of that scanset to a few or several in this area on EZSCAN. Give that area a look to see what you have listed

Yes, thanks, at present, and it's my home area default: I have one scan set enabled, ten scan lists in it. Only one of the lists is enabled by default, I bring up those lists and see that only one of them is checked as enabled in EZ-Scan. A look at the scanlist menu in the scanner itself shows only one list is checked. That's why I am baffled, since I haven't diddled anything in about 7 weeks. I just brought my 1098 in from the car to run update checks.

I suppose I could get used to seeing all the scan list names scrolling all the time but I don't like it.

I noticed if you select Scanset OPT in the scanner menu itself, it lists and scans every scanlist. Going into the menu and turning on-off scansets sets it to the one you want. It could be your selection is set for a different scan-set there?
Also, the first page of the EZScan has all the scanlists shown, are all of them clicked ON for that page too?

Well, there ya go. Somehow, lots of 'scan list members' were checked. But not all of them. And there weere some lisis not in the scan set checked as well, and they did show up in the scanning display also. Most of those don't even have anything in them, they're just for eventual use.

Seems awfully redundant, if not confusing (my experience here as an example) to have a menu item in the scanner itself that doesn't appear in EZ-Scan.

THANKS, JD2

Yeah, it can be done in just using Scanlists as normal, but scansets are simply a different way of grouping lists to scan. A little redundant. I usually just toggle scanlists on and off that I want instead of using Scansets features.

Under the Advanced Features tab, Scan Set Mode should be set to Scan Sets Require Scan List to be Enabled. That is in the upper right portion of the page. If set to Ignore, every scan list in the scan set will scan whether enabled or not.
