Hi everyone,
I'm having a major issue with wsjtx getting audio from my rig lately. A few weeks ago it was working flawlessly, now I have no clue. The tech from hrd seems to think its either a filter in the rig or a driver issue. I'm a little hesitant to start un installing drivers because i'm not that computer savvy and don't want to mess up things any further. Has anyone had this issue and if so how did you correct it. i have some pictures of my settings to maybe show you guys what i tried so far.

Should I also say that on the rig(990) I opened up all the filters and turned off the RX,TX EQ and set the rear panel controls for what it calls for. FYI I have tried several things so far and did some research but obviously I'm missing something.

From the picture you posted WSJT-X seems to be receiving and decoding properly. Make sure the computer clock is accurate and that your radio is in USB-D mode.

Agreed on ensuring your clock is accurate first. Then, have you opened WSJT and tried to see if it will TX/RX before opening HRD? It does appear you are receiving fine already.

my clock is accurate my problem is my audio is too low. I know that I'm transmitting, but there's not enough audio coming from the rig to hear and decode the stations calling me back. The power bar on the bottom left only shows 10-13 decibels. I've had two people take control of the pc and couldn't figure out why this is happening. Something short of deleting everything and starting over,iI've tried everything. I even set the 990-s the way Kenwood says as far as the rear panels and the filter settings. Mind you I've never touched the rigs settings before and it worked flawlessly

If I remember correctly according to wsjtx manual the bar on the left should be around 40 on a quiet band. Make sure that any sound enhancing features are turned on on the radio and on the computer sound card settings. I don’t know how the radio is connected to the computer but trying other cables might be worth a shot. Also before uninstalling and reinstalling everything I would do a windows update and make sure you have the latest drivers installed. Also make sure you have the latest versions of wsftx and whatever other software you are using. You can also shut down the laptop (not a reboot) and power on the computer again and see if it changes anything. If possible can you try another computer or another radio ?

Jazzy thank you I've tried all of that! Only thing left to do which I'm dreading is try my other laptop. Assuming I can figure out all the settings. Good thing i took lots of pictures. Do you have a 990 because everybody that tired to help me thinks its the radio not the computer or the WSJTX program.

I don't have a 990. If you have the proper interface between your radio and your computer it should work. Maybe try a full reset of the radio and see what happens ?
