Hoping someone can help me figure this one out....

I have both a TRX-1 and a BCD436.
The TRX-1 is picking up WSP (Washington State Patrol) - the 436 not so much.
This is on the (now narrowbanded/digital) conventional VHF 154-158 freqs.
JIWN (Justice Integrated Wireless Network - trunked VHF) and WSPDOT (WA State Patrol Dept of Transp - trunked 700) seem to be working fine.

These scanners were both programmed via RR database.
Both are using a Diamond RH77, so antennas are the same

I did notice the TRX-1 had FM programmed on the P25/digital freqs (via RR), the 436 had NFM programmed via RR. I changed the 436 where needed to FM on these.

Still hearing nothing.
And yes, it is scanning them freqs, just not hearing anything.
I even turned location off, just in case that was the problem.
Nope...

Any suggestions??

Thanks

All digital freqs should be NFM, not FM. Change everything to NFM, and only revert to FM on channels you have confirmed are analog FM, and where the audio sounds clipped/overdriven.

Change the Audio Option on all channels to Search. If you have NAC/Color Code specified on an analog channel, you'll hear nothing. If you have CTCSS/DCS set on a digital channel, you'll hear nothing. Search will play traffic, digital or analog.

Set the Quick Key on all the departments to None. If you have quick keys enabled in the FL but not turned on, the scanner will not scan the department(s).

Thanks.

I was using the (working) TRX-1's programming as a reference.
It has these freqs (all working fine) as: FM, NAC D(XX), and digital
Then again, if the 436 works differently....

I'll give this a shot.
