As of today WSP Wenatchee detachment starting using Motorola MDC 1200 signalling on 154.935. The unit ID corresponds with the badge number. I.e. badge #1223 transmits unit ID 1223 at the beginning of the transmission. I’m assuming this is due to WSP giving up transitioning to P25 in district 6. Can anyone confirm?

Just heard WSP on "county high" in Whitman County. They transmit MDC1200 when they transmit. So I wonder if they transmit MDC1200 on analog.

MDC 1200 is analog only. If you’re hearing it on P25, it’s a simulcast from the analog side.

I should have clarified my statement. I definitely understand its analog only. I am thinking they are using MDC1200 on all their analog channels in their radio not just their own ie not related to anything with D6 in particular.

I just realized, I haven't heard MDC 1200 in Okanogan County for the past few weeks. They used it for about a month and a half here.

Ya same in Wenatchee. Guess they were just trialing it.

I believe the information on transmitting the UID code is correct.
No, WSP is not transitioning to P25 in the Wenatchee or Okanogan areas. They ran into serious multipath distortion issues due to the topography. Multipath works reasonably well in analog mode (you can usually figure out what's be said, it's more of an annoyance), but it's a killer in digital mode.
