So are the three communities all going to work off the Wyandotte Dispatch TG's or are they going to retain their own TGs as usual?

Wyandotte and Southgate are patched together. I think either talkgroup ID will work, but on my radio, the Wyandotte PD dispatcher (753098) is seen on my ID decode display, not southgate's.

Channel 2 for car-to-car ops and such still remains the same as it has always been for both cities.

Fire Departments are also consolidated and there's a "central dispatch" now that units call out to. I think here in Wyandotte they mostly dispatched themselves to calls forwarded from the PD as no/few runs were ever broadcast over the air until now.

I see where there's cost savings, but at the same time I don't much care for the new arrangement. In past times the adjacent cities would scan eachother on their radios to hear what's going on in the neighboring jurisdictions. Now, everyone is forced to hear everything. I personally don't care about what's going on in Southgate (being from Wyandotte). Oh well.

Okay, thanks, I might keep both in just to see what happens. I pick up some Downriver traffic @ night here in Adrian so we'll see what happens.
