Wyckoff / Midland Park questions...

The database has multiple entries that I'm requesting confirmation....

On the Bergen County TRS, it lists talkgroup 1013 as "Wyckoff and Midland Park EMS" and tags it as "EMS Dispatch" but also list 1017 as FD/EMS and tags it "Multi Talk." I thouight Wyckoff Fire was on the old VHF PD repeater and does not have trunking radios? What is TG 1017 for?

Which leads me to another question...is Midland Park Fire also using the VHF repeater or NORCON Fire 1 (154.175 PL 123.0) to call in service?

And finally, the DB lists both agencies being paged on 158.940 PL 123.0 under the Wyckoff tab, but under the Midland Park tab it list the PL as 146.2? Which one is it?

Wyckoff FD is calling in service on the old VHF PD repeater. They may have trunked radios, but they are currently not being used on a routine basis.

Midland Park FD is calling in service on 154.175, CTCSS 123.0.

Both agencies are being paged out on 158.9400, CTCSS 123.0. The CTCSS 146.2 entry is likely a mistake; I believe that's the CTCSS for Wyckoff's VHF repeater.

The base radio in the Midland Firehouse and the DPW b ase transmit on PL 146.2 it has something to do with cutting down interference

I have also heard Midland Park DPW using 158.9400, CTCSS 123.0. Leaf pickup in 2014 was on that CTCSS.

I know the fire department base uses 146.2

Kind of correct. Midland Park FD calls in on 154.1750 123.0 then uses Operations 1 154.1450 107.2 for fireground. Wyckoff FD uses 158.7825 146.2 the old PD repeater then switches to their ops channel 150.7825 210.7 for fireground. Wyckoff FD is dispatched on 158.9400 with 123.0, Midland Park Fire and EMS however is 158.9400 146.2 . When Wyckoff PD dispatched they paged with 146.2 then used 123.0 for voice for Midland Park. Midland Park FD has nothing on 146.2. Only the DPW base transmits 146.2 on 158.9400. The DPW uses the private channel that is in the DB, but the county contacts them on 158.9400 146.2 . Talkgroup 1017 has only popped once on Unitrunker. There are also some other TGs that are assigned and not used such as 1205 and 1014,1015,1018.
