Was looking at the system ID for Wyolink with a friend that programs radios for another state and he stated that the system ID for most systems is 4 letters and numbers instead of three. I don't know if this is true or not but thought I would ask. I always thought the fields for trunking key were 3 letters and numbers or could this be from system ID to hex? I don't know much about trunking systems so its all new to me.
Thanks for the information in advance.

P25 systems (like Wyolink) use a 3 character HEX number along with a 5 character HEX WACN id to identify the system. Motorola 3600bps systems use a 4 character HEX number as the SYSID.
