Xcorder problem playback

hello all
I have a question about recording i downloaded xcorder it records what i want it puts an icon on destop to play the file i just recorded but when i click on it to play i dont hear anything does anyone know what to check for ?

You are saying the program puts an icon on your desktop, you click on it and nothing happens. You might want to see what program is being associated witht he icon. It may be an application that is used for playback (ie media player, winamp, etc.) that you don't have installed on your computer. If that is the case, you can associate it with an application that you do have.

That is off the top of my head what might be the problem.

I use Vox to file, I believe it is the same program, right click the icon and see what the properties are, and post them. If you use the desktop to store recorded audio icons, and you have the program set one way you will find your desktop fills up pretty fast.
post the properties if you can, that will give us a clue what is going on.
