XG-100 programming

Hello,

I'm currently in the process of programming a Harris Unity XG-100 for just scanning Hawaii County and curious if anyone has any tips or advise on this system? I've never programmed a VHF trunked system and from what I've researched a little, it looks like everything is in the process of moving over to the new Phase II P25 system?

Are you talking about Hawaii County (like in Big Island)? If not and you are searching for Oahu, forget VHF....everybody is provoice! But if you want to listen to BIPD or BIFD, RR has a site that you can actually "listen" to broadcasts from Hilo to Kona side. But fair warning....practically all public service (not including hospitals, hotels, etc) are (as in the Jeffersons sitcom)....movin all UP!

Yes. Got it successfully programmed up and working like a charm scanning the Hawaii County TDMA P25 system. Nice thing on that one being multi band is loading the statewide 700 P25 system as well. Can only monitor one at a time though.
