XPR XPR7550e any way to remotely increase volume?

Is anyone aware of a way for an admin on a system, using a portable, to remotely set the volume on other subscriber portables on the same TG or channel? The use case seems obvious to me, but I don’t see a way to do it.

Next best option would be a fixed alert volume that rings loudly even if a user has reduced their volume to minimum.

Anyone have any experience with something like this?

No personal experience with that radio, however….

Many radios will have a couple of options that might get you the result you need:
Minimum volume level. You could set that to something other than zero. That prevents the radio user from turning the volume down all the way.
There is usually a way to set the alert tone levels separate of the volume knob. Setting up a page to the radio and have that trigger an alert with a cranked up level would help get the attention of the user.

I'm not personally aware of any radio that lets someone adjust volume level remotely.

Thanks! I believe CPS offers ability to fix alert volumes which could be a solution. Optimally, it would be nice to let a user adjust voice and alert tone volumes to their preference, but have an option to force a higher volume from priority alert coming in.

It seems like the technology is there, what with all the telemetry options, emergency mode, remote monitor, radio enable/disable. Commands to remotely set volume would make a great feature request.

You can set a minimum volume that the radio is allowed to be set at, but this would be radio wide. I have users who hated that they could mute the radios and users who hated that they could not mute the radios. Same with Facedown Mute. That setting is on a case by case basis. TT
