xts5000 radio tags on the back

I have noticed some of this radios have a green and black tag below th flashport tag. what does this tag indicate? also how do i go about upgrading the flashcode and system package? will they put a new tag on if i take to my moto dealer?

Depot tags do not look like OEM tags. All of the ones I've seen over the years were white with black lettering which scream "Depot Tag!!!.

Not sure if the case with your situation, but some tags with green indicate IS radios. You can pay for a flash kit and have a dealer install it, or install it yourself if you have the right gear. They generally do come with stickers to indicate a new flash.

the radio i have does not have this tag. so if i have it upgraded to like a r16 firmware they will put a new tag on ?

The black and green tag below the Flashport tag contains the FCC number, the Model Number, the Serial Number and another id number which I can't recall right now just off the top of my head. If you take your radio to a dealer to have a flash upgrade done, what you are doing is changing what capabilities the radio has in it. The dealer will put a new Flashport tag on it, but not the black and green serial number tag. If all you are doing is doing a firmware refresh, no new tag will be added.
