Thank you that did the trick. I engaged omni link and put in the correct RFSS.
Yup, thats pretty much it most of the time if the NAS radio isn't setup for data and isn't incorrectly parked on a trunked talkgroup and the radio is flashing. A lot of the settings are left to default site 1, rfss 1, coverage type disabled, omnilink rfss default 1. This would get you by back in the day when systems weren't built out as much. Now today systems can be wide area smartzone,, multiple sites/rfss
The radio turns on with its programming on Site 1 RFSS 1 and suddenly its receiving Site 2 or RFSS 2 and the radio says Whoa, hold up here something is wrong and I should try to talk to the system as it does in these situations. I believe these are typically the logout messages from NAS radios. I use TX Inhibit on mine as they're 800 and I don't need to transmit so nothing is ever tx'ed
TX Inhibit is a piece of mind for nas IMO even though without it works just fine because its setup correctly. But some people talk on a ham repeater on the same radio it's somewhat impractical. But it opens up an issue if you have scan on for ham and trunked and the scan setting on talkback instead of selected channel and end up replying on the trunked system when they think they're replying on the ham repeater....
